YOU ARE HERE, and maybe a little surprised to be.

If you've washed up on this page, websurfer, you already know what I'm talking about. But for the sake of archiving: it is 2025 and THE WHOLE INTERNET FEELS THE SAME!!! And I suspect it is only going to get worse...

This is my countermove: a handmade site, stitched together the slow way. Something human in a medium that's been trying very hard to forget it has humans in it. Nothing here is or ever will be monetized or optimized (for your attention, anyway – this page is friendly to all devices and browsers).

You'll notice this site is missing a real about page. That's for two reasons:

1. Because as Mary Oliver said in Dogfish:

You don’t want to hear the story
of my life, and anyway
I don't want to tell it, I want to listen

to the enormous waterfalls of the sun.
And anyway, it's the same old story --
a few people just trying,
one way or another,
to survive

2. Because I'm not going to just hand it to you!
